Department Summary
This year our firefighters and medics have responded to 2142 emergencies and trained 10013.00 hours.

Proudly serving the Evergreen, Colorado community since 1948

Welcome to Evergreen Fire Rescue, home of one of the largest volunteer fire departments in Colorado. Our 127 member team consists of volunteers and paid staff providing around the clock emergency medical, rescue, and fire suppression services, along with fire inspection and education to nearly 40,000 residents across more than 120 square miles.

In 1948, our great organization was founded by a couple dozen concerned citizens turned firefighters, who used one donated truck and a one-bay garage to protect the community's 500 residents. Today we continue this tradition with a combination of 82 volunteer firefighters made up of men and women of the community and 33 full and 12 part time staff members.

In order to meet the growing community's needs, our infrastructure has grown to include eight stations spread throughout the district and housing 43 fire/rescue apparatus, one maintenance facility, and one training/administrative building. As we strive to serve and protect you, we hope you enjoy browsing our website and learning more about our organization.
