The new fire extinguisher training simulator will replace the old way of conducting fire extinguisher training. Before, trainees would extinguish a diesel or propane fire with dry chemical fire extinguishers, resulting in a messy and expensive process. The new simulator will provide cleaner, safer and more cost-effective training. It uses a clean-burning propane flame that responds automatically to a special training extinguisher, discharging only compressed air and water. This eliminates exposure to smoke and byproducts associated with the dry chemical extinguishing agent. It’s important for residents to know how to use extinguishers in an emergency and this simulator is designed to provide realistic, hands-on training with a lesser environmental impact. Because the new training extinguishers are recharged with only compressed air and water, there are no recharge or cleanup costs associated with the training. The training takes about 30-45 minutes depending on the number of participants. Since the training equipment is portable; we can bring the training to your school, meeting, or place of business.
